Accounts Receivable Clerk – Barrie
Advanced Motion & Controls Ltd. is seeking a person to join our administration team at our headquarters in Barrie. We are looking for an enthusiastic, detail oriented, well organized individual with accounts receivable and collection experience in a fast-paced environment.
Your role will include but not limited to the following daily activities:
• Responsible for collection of all overdue receivables and follow up on any discrepancies.
• Responsible for new customer account set up within Navision & Podio and existing customer card changes.
• Distribute credit applications to potential customers, obtain credit references; and follow up for credit approval with the controller.
• Issue customer credits in accordance with RMA’s.
• Invoice customers on a daily basis.
• Enter and distribute invoices for VMI.
• Enter invoices to customer portals.
• Provide backup information to customers as requested.
• Review requests and determine if customers over their credit limit will have their shipments released.
• Research customer short payments.
• Process monthly statements.
• Process cash receipts, deposit cash/cheques in the bank on a daily basis.
• Pick up cheques from customers as required
• Distribution, reconciliation of petty cash.
• Performing all tasks within the scope of position as outlined in the company’s ISO internal manual.
Skills, knowledge and work experience required:
• Minimum 1 year Business Accounting program.
• 1 year in an accounting related position.
• Knowledge of Navision, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Outlook.
• Ability to communicate with all departments; and levels of management.
• Problem solving.
• High level of data entry and attention to detail.
