AEC’s HyperCyl products are available from Advanced Motion & Controls
Hydra-pneumatic cylinders make up one of AEC’s three major HyperCyl products.
Advanced Motion & Controls Ltd. partners with Aries Engineering Company (AEC) to supply the manufacturer’s HyperCyl hydra-pneumatic cylinders, servo actuators, and standalone press systems. HyperCyl products have been trusted for a variety of assembly and forming applications for a quarter of a century. AEC developed these units with quality, based on customers’ feedback on their solution needs, using innovative technology in air/oil intensification.
A new level of performance
This lineup of HyperCyl products has served automotive, medical, aerospace, electronics, and appliance organizations for a full generation. Here are the three options available:
- Electric actuators. The HyperCyl EMA series consists of robust, servo-driven devices built for precision assembly, as well as other tasks in which standard HyperCyl or IntelliCyl products are unsuited. Offering a new level of price/performance for applications in several industries, they are available in Roller Screw and Ball Screw configurations, with load ratings ranging from five to 230 kilonewtons. Among the benefits are standard internal non-rotate features and load cells, over-travel limit switches, and Emerson UniMotors.
- Hydra-pneumatic cylinders. The HPI series of inline cylinders are fully self-contained, cost-efficient power sources that suit many assembly and forming tasks perfectly. These hydra-pneumatic cylinders give users the greatest force per dollar invested, as well as complete air/oil separation, linear force output, three moving components, internal shock pads, simple control circuits, fill and high-pressure gauge couplings, heavy-duty construction, and 100-psi tensile tie rods. They can also be operated in any position or attitude. Sizes go from one to 200 tons, with a stroke of up to eight inches and a power stroke of one inch.
- Hyperpress machines and standalone stations. Also available from Advanced Motion & Controls, these products have C-frame or H-frame presses and CGB low-profile presses. The C-frame design presses are mainly used for assembly and forming applications that need open fronts to make part loading and unloading easier. The H-frame presses are made for tasks that require pass-through designs. The CGB is a compact, high-performance press with a bench-top design for high force and a small footprint.
